Hey there ya’ll. I’m sorry for not posting or updating in forever.. Haha, I think twittering has made me less inclined to post on here as much. Not to mention, I have a bit of a life nowadays. School is keeping me busy as well, four of my three classes are “core” classes, aka hard ones and not just electives like last semester. So I actually study and do homework and actually try in school, haha.
Well, in case the title didn’t tip me off, I just celebrated my sweet sixteen on March 30. I feel a bit older I suppose. 16 is supposed to be a big year isn’t it? I don’t know what I’m supposed to expect. I didn’t even get my license yet because I haven’t even got my permit yet! Even though I took drivers’ ed almost a year ago.. It’s just that I’ve been busy, and scared because I didn’t want to fail my little written test. It’s dumb really, now I have to go to the office and explain why I’m not getting my papers signed until now.. hopefully they aren’t expired or anything. Blah.
For my birthday I kept it small. After a great day at school (honestly, it was nice and I was in a good mood all day), I went to Costco with my mom and my friend Ben to buy my cake. Then we went home and hung out, and afterwards we met up with some friends at a little Mexican restaurant. We ate (I had a tasty chicken tamale with a horchata to drink :happy: ) and then we walked around, and even went down to the nearby elementary school to play on the playground and take pictures. It was perfect. Then last weekend mom took me and my sisters to eat at this Thai/Japanese place. They have tasty Pad Thai. So I’d say it was generally, a good birthday this year. My friends got me some cute stuff, and my mom bought me a bunch of new make up from eyeslipsface.com.
However, this week hasn’t been as nice. I’ve been a little sad (I went from insanely happy on Monday&Tuesday, to insanely emo Wednesday on), I guess it’s the side effects of being a teenage girl. But I’ve had some private stuff going on and it’s been driving me nuts. However, I’m trying to look at the bright side and not be so dreary. After all, it is spring break! I’m going to a little party tomorrow for my friend’s birthday/Easter. It should be fun. Home-cooked Vietnamese food yay! :love: Also, I’m supposed to be going to another friend’s birthday shin dig Tuesday. It’s a little more upscale. He’s going to have a limo and then we’re eating at Maggiano’s. I have to find something impressive to wear. And part with a significant bit of money on dinner, unfortunately. I don’t think my “date” will be paying for me.
Other than that, I don’t really know what I’m doing for Spring Break. Hopefully there will be more updates on here, soon.
