Good Girl Gone Bad

My Cellphone Ahhgh, I have been so deppressingly bored lately! I think most of us for some reason have been since the new semester’s classes have started. I was just talking to my friend Van about it, we both thought we ought to do something different to make things more interesting. Every one is sick of the same old routine… WeLL today we got out early?? if that counts haha. We were dismissed 2hours early so teachers can work or something, Monday’s a teacher work day too!

Anyways, everyone saays they’re gonna do something to liven things up but most of my friends are too chicken to actually do something! Not Bella! Yes, yes, I know, you don’t believe me! Most people wouldn’t, I’m too much of a goody goody to most folk, but I couldn’t bear the quiet, solemnity in 4th period.

So surrounded by my good chums I say, “Everyone take your cell phones out!” I was greeted with overall quizzical faces  but those frowns turned into wide grins when I told my plan of just rebelling by leaving out our cells on our desks to see what Mrs. F would do, “She can’t take all of our phones!” Q said. “She might just take mine!” J said. We–especially me–couldn’t contain our laughter, but our teacher took no notice. So I take out mine, put it in the right hand corner of my desk, 3 more follow suit. Then the encouraging peer pressure sets in, the goody goody in front of me takes hers out, my friend across the room pulls out her shiny pink kyocera, Michael pulls out his. Everyone returns sneaky grins with me. Then we went back to our warm ups and continued with class.

We all were laughing when Ms. F went to the front and the phones were quickly covered up or stowed, even by me! As we giggled to ourselves, Q says, “Ms F! Bella started a trick! She told us to take our cell phones out!”

“She did??! Bella? No way!!” We were all laughing then. Ms. F just shook her head, smiling and ignored us. Those are the perks of being a bunch of honors kids, the teachers just ignore you or don’t believe you when you pull a prank. And a bunch of bored “small town” kids like us get a good laugh at ourselves, doing something insignificant like this to rebell!

Hey when there’s a lot of rules there’s a lot to rebell against! hahaha  or maybe I’m just too much of a goody goody!

But it was cool seeing all of us banding together like that, we’re thinkin bout a bigger prank for Ms. F soon, she actually seems like a possible supporter of a little class rebellion… Ahhh cell phones! It’s like the new pencil dropping trick.
